After the highly successful VHS re-issues of Nekromantik and Nekromantik 2, Cult Epics have now revealed that they'll be giving Jorg Buttgereit’s powerful materpiece Der Todesking (aka The Death King) much of the same treatment this May.
The controversial 1990 film will be presented on the original home video standard in two editions: a standalone VHS (limited to 50 copies) and a limited edition box set (limited to 25 copies), both Cult Epics website exclusives.
The bos set will include the VHS, 7 Art prints with a certificate signed and numbered by Martin Trafford, a t-shirt and an enamel pin. The enamel pin of the iconic TK (Death King) image is also available separately and limited to 75 units.
Der Todesking features seven stories of death and suicide, each taking place on a different day of the week, enframed by the decomposition of a human body.
Pre-orders are now being taken at www.cultepics.com.
