Dark Star Pictures is set to release the brutal 1986 Ozploitation classic Fair Game on the big screen across North America this summer, CryptTeaze has learned!
A bona fide Aussie classic, one that would later inspire Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof, Fair Game is a wild revenge thriller set in the outback pitting Cassandra Delaney’s wildlife sanctuary boss against three psycho kangaroo hunters.
"Bored with killing kangaroos, they decide to kill the animals in the sanctuary, and when they see how attractive the owner is, they decide to have a little "fun" with her, too. Turns out that they may get a bit more "fun" than they bargained for."
Directed by Emmy winner Mario Andreacchio and shot by Oscar winner Andrew Lesnie (The Lord of the Rings trilogy), Fair Game also stars Peter Ford, David Sandford, Garry Who, and Don Barker.
Fair Game will open theatrically July 8th before a digital release July 12th. A physical release of the is planned for August.
Australian home video label Umbrella Entertainment released the film on Blu-ray and DVD back in 2018.
