Following its theatrical run and arrival on VOD platforms, Scream Factory has announced they'll be bringing IFC Midnight's The Rental to Blu-ray and DVD on December 1st.
In the film, "Two couples on an oceanside getaway find that their celebratory weekend trip has turned into something sinister as an imminent threat forces them to expose well-kept secrets and they come to see each other in a whole new light."
The "unnerving and sophisticated debut thriller" was directed by Dave Franco (Neighbors, If Beale Street Could Talk, The Disaster Artist).
Franco co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Swanberg, based on a story by the pair and Mike Demski.
The Rental stars Alison Brie ("Community", "GLOW"), Dan Stevens ("Downton Abbey", The Guest), Jeremy Allen White ("Shameless") and Sheila Vand (A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night).
