David Cronenberg's 'Crimes of the Future' Brings the Body Horror to Blu-ray This Summer!

Currently available on Digital platforms following its theatrical run earlier this month, David Cronenberg‘s new body horror movie Crimes of the Future is getting a physical media release later this summer!

Distribution Solutions, a division of Alliance Entertainment, has this week announced the release of NEON and DECAL's Crimes of the Future, coming to Blu-ray and DVD on August 9th, 2022.

Special features include "The Making of Crimes of the Future" featurette and theatrical trailers.

In the film, a performance artist – who turns the removal of organs into real time theatre – is forced to consider the most shocking performance of all as the government and a strange subculture take note of his act.

Crimes of the Future stars Viggo Mortensen (Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, A History of Violence), Léa Seydoux (No Time to Die, The French Dispatch), Kristen Stewart (The Twilight Saga, Underwater), Scott Speedman (Underworld, The Strangers), Don McKellar, Yorgos Pirpassopoulos, Tanaya Beatty, Nadia Litz, Lihi Kornowski, and Denise Capezza.

Written and directed by Cronenberg (The Fly, A History of Violence), Crimes of the Future is his directorial return to the science fiction and horror genres for the first time since the 1990s. Cronenberg pioneered the "body horror" genre involving mutation, parasites, and medical conditions.
