Demonic Horror 'Baphomet' Coming in 2021, Co-Stars Cradle of Filth Frontman Dani Filth

Incisive Pictures have released the teaser trailer for their upcoming horror film Baphomet, written and directed by Matthan Harris. This is Harris’ second full-length feature, his first being 2012’s The Inflicted, which starred himself alongside horror icons Sid Haig and Bill Moseley. Harris has also directed a number of short films, including They Came from Hell and Sudden Reality.

Harris describes the plot of Baphomet as such:

"An American family celebrates their 28-year-old daughter's pregnancy. The celebration is interrupted when a Satanic cult member, Aksel Brandr, pays them an unexpected visit. Aksel offers to pay the family a large sum for ownership of their land. Jacob Richardson, the father, rejects the offer due to the priceless sentimental value of their home. Aksel and his cult, displeased, begin to put devastating curses on the Richardsons, trying to force them off their land - even if it means murdering them. After suffering unexplainable tragedies, the Richardsons seek help from Marybeth, a white witch high priestess. They soon discover a terrible secret about their home, revealing why it is so valuable to the cult. They realize they must protect their house from the cult at all costs, and a violent battle between good and evil ensues."

The film stars Colin Ward (Mother’s Boys), Rebecca Weaver (June Falling Down), Harris, and Cradle of Filth frontman Dani Filth as Lon Carlson, an occultist and expert on witchcraft. In the teaser trailer for the film, Carlson ensures that witchcraft is very real, despite the often wildly inaccurate portrayals in the media putting many off from the concept.

Way to be meta on us there, Mr. Filth.

The film is completed as of this September, though it has been in development since 2017. There is no firm release date at this time, but all listings point to sometime next year.
