Over thirty years after its release, Heavy Metal Parking Lot is still hailed as one of the greatest rock documentaries ever made. It's a bootleg favorite among musicians, movie stars, and cult-video fans worldwide, and it's now available on limited edition VHS from Lunchmeat!
The 1986 underground documentary features interviews with several small groups of young heavy metal fans gathered for a tailgate party in the parking lot outside the Capital Center in Landover, Maryland on May 31st, 1986, as they prepare for a Judas Priest/Dokken concert being held there later that evening. Heavy Metal Parking Lot perfectly captures metalhead fans in their mid-80's heyday.
