Drew Marvick, writer/director of Pool Party Massacre and indie horror mainstay, has joined the cast of Murdercise, the upcoming movie by Paul Ragsdale and Angelica De Alba (A & P Productions), whose most recent films include Streets of Vengeance and Slashlorette Party.
"We are very excited to work with Drew for the second time," says writer/director Paul Ragsdale, "Drew's character is so unlike his character from Slashlorette Party, that we can't wait for his fans to see what we've created for him. We couldn't imagine anyone else playing the character of Chuck. Aside from being an axe-wielding maniac, I think this role is the perfect character for Drew!"
In Murdercise, "Phoebe is an obsessed fitness nerd who gets her big break on a sleazy workout video. After being ridiculed by her co-stars, Phoebe befriends a mafia princess wild child, who teaches her how to murder her way to the top."
The film is currently in pre-production with several cast members already joining the project before Marvick, including Jordan Phipps (Close Calls), Jessa Flux (Debbie Does Demons), Nina Lanee Kent (Slashlorette Party), Jazmine Colleen (Nite Time Creatures) and Krystal Shay (Streets of Vengeance).
Ragsdale tells us that more casting announcements are coming soon, and the Mudercise crowd funding campaign will launch on July 1st!
The filmmakers are aiming to have the film completed and released by Spring 2023. We're told to expect a Blu-ray packed full of special features, which is music to our ears.
