Epic Pictures Abducts and Experiments on a 'Sleepless Beauty' This November

Control is only a state of mind.

Epic Picture has announced they've acquired director Pavel Khvaleev's psychological horror film Sleepless Beauty (Polish title Ya ne splyu) following its world premiere at this year's Imagine Film Festival.

The film will be available on VOD and Digital platforms on November 10th, and will be available on Blu-ray beginning November 17th.

"Sleepless Beauty tells a twisted story about a young woman, Mila, who is kidnapped by a mysterious organization known as Recreation."

"Her unknown abductors talk to her through a loudspeaker and set strict rules: she cannot sleep and has to fulfill bizarre and violent tasks if she hopes to stay alive. At first, it looks like someone’s sick idea of entertainment but as the demands become more intense, Mila begins to realize that she is losing control of her own mind and instead, may be a pawn in a twisted and deadly psychological experiment."

Sleepless Beauty is said to feature hints of the Saw saga and Pascal Laugier's French masterpiece Martyrs.

The film stars Polina Davydova, Evgeniy Gagarin, Sergey Topkov, and Andrey Tereshenko.

Khvaleev directed Sleepless Beauty from a screenplay penned by Aleksandra Khvaleeva.
