Someone let the rat out...
We don't know how this one slipped our radar, but the trailer for director Thomas J. Churchill's (The Amityville Harvest, Xenophobia) new creature feature Big Freaking Rat was uploaded to YouTube last month, and we're rather excited to share it with you today!
Front Row Filmed Entertainment released the film on Digital and On Demand platforms in various markets earlier this week, but a US release date has yet to be revealed.
The premise is pretty straightforward and goes a little something like this, "Ranger Brody, with the help of his nephew and niece Dylan and Naomi, is preparing to open the brand-new campground for the season. Everything is in order and the camp seems peaceful until a giant rat, mutated from multiple dumping of toxic wastes, begins killing the campers and rangers."
As expected, the trailer features one big ass practical rodent running amok and causing all sorts of bloody mayhem. Big Freaking Rat certainly appears to live up to its bizarre title and premise, and is sure to be a delightfully fun time for creature feature fans who like their flicks with extra cheese.
Big Freaking Rat stars horror icon Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), Rachel Sterling ("True Blood"), Julie Anne Prescott (The Last Roommate), Cece Kelly ("Halt and Catch Fire"), Caleb Thomas (The Terror of Hallows' Eve) and Scott C. Roe (Alien Warfare).
