We're big fans of The Merkins here at CryptTeaze and we've been covering their brilliant videos that put horror spins on classic tracks for years now. From the Slashstreet Boys, a Backstreet Boys parody group comprised of horror’s most beloved icons, to clever solo covers by Freddy, Jason, Leatherface, Michael Myers and Ghostface.
The latest video features Freddy Krueger singing "Dreamers Paradise," which puts A Nightmare on Elm Street spin on Coolio's 1995 hit "Gangsta's Paradise." Give it a watch below!
Of course, this isn't the first time hip-hop classic has been parodied, as Weird Al Yankovic put his own spin on the song with "Amish Paradise," from his 1996 album Bad Hair Day.
Personally, I think this Merkins parody is vastly superior!
