Jennifer Kent's The Nightingale is easily one of the most disturbing-yet-compelling films in recent years, and we've learned this week it'll be receiving a limited edition Blu-ray release from the UK based company Second Sight Films.
The Nightingale comes to limited edition Blu-ray on February 1st, 2021. Pre-orders are available now over on the Second Sight Films webstore. Please note, this is a Region B release.
In the film, Set in 1825, Clare, a young Irish convict woman, chases British officer Lieutenant Hawkins through the rugged Tasmanian wilderness, bent on revenge for a terrible act of violence he committed against her family. On the way she enlists the services of an Aboriginal tracker named Billy who is also marked by trauma from his own violence-filled past.
