Known for his comedic roles in films such as Paul Blart: Mall Cop and his TV series "The King of Queens," Kevin James takes on his first dark/villainous role in Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion‘s (Bushwick) home invasion thriller Becky, which has received its first trailer today.
Quiver Distribution and Redbox Entertainment have acquired the North American rights to the action-thriller and have set a Digital and On Demand release for June 5th, 2020.
Becky also stars Lulu Wilson (Annabelle: Creation), Amanda Brugel (Hulu’s "The Handmaid’s Tale"), Robert Maillet (Sherlock Holmes) and Joel McHale ("Community").
In the film, spunky and rebellious Becky (Wilson) is brought to a weekend getaway at a lake house by her father Jeff (McHale) in an effort to try to reconnect. The trip immediately takes a turn for the worse when a group of convicts on the run, led by the merciless Dominick (James), suddenly invade the lake house.
Becky has been rated “R” for “Strong bloody violence, grisly images, and language.”
Nick Morris (The Evil Eye), Ruckus Skye and Lane Skye (The Devil to Pray, Rattle the Cage) wrote the script.
