Lamb of God Premiere Lyric Video For B-Side "Hyperthermic/Accelerate," Deluxe Self-Titled Out Now

The deluxe version of Lamb of God’s incredible self-titled album (review) is out now, and to celebrate, the band has released the second of two B-sides included in the release. First came the thrash-tastic “Ghost Shaped People,” and now we have a track that is essential, classic LOG in “Hyperthermic/Accelerate.” The song is a perfect blend of groove, palm-muted riffing, and plenty of licks from the dynamic guitar duo that is Mark Morton and Willie Adler.

The second verse kicks into some hardcord-tinged madness, with Randy Blythe’s signature mid-scream driving things forward. Many fans have noted a vibe similar to the band’s 2004 breakthrough Ashes of the Wake, and that’s a fair assessment, given the fretboard gymnastics and tight drumming on display here. These guys have never had an out and out bad album, but this song is something of a return to form.

As we’ve reported previously, the deluxe version of the album includes the two B-sides with the original release’s ten tracks on disc one. Disc two is the full Live in Richmond release, which sees the full album performed, plus four classic tracks including the Bill and Ted Face the Music soundtrack feature “The Death of Us.” Disc three is the visual component of the Live in Richmond performance.
