'Love and Monsters' Trailer Faces Giant Creatures in an Apocalyptic World


Originally slated to release back in March before being delayed to 2021, Paramount has revealed that the comedic new giant creature film Love and Monsters will now be be skipping theaters entirely in lieu of a Premium VOD release next month.


Formerly titled Monster Problems, Love and Monsters will head home as a PVOD offering on October 16th.


You can get an idea of the creature mayhem you can expect next month in the official trailer below.


In the film, "Seven years after the Monsterpocalypse, Joel Dawson (Dylan O’Brien), along with the rest of humanity, has been living underground ever since giant creatures took control of the land. After reconnecting over radio with his high school girlfriend Aimee (Jessica Henwick), who is now 80 miles away at a coastal colony, Joel begins to fall for her again. As Joel realizes that there’s nothing left for him underground, he decides against all logic to venture out to Aimee, despite all the dangerous monsters that stand in his way."


The fun-filled and action-packed adventure also stars Michael Rooker and Ariana Greenblatt.


Love and Monsters is directed by Michael Matthews from a screenplay by Brian Duffield and Matthew Robinson. Shawn Levy ("Stranger Things") produced for 21 Laps.
