Following its virtual screening at the Chattanooga Film Festival, Severin Films has announced they'll be bringing the part documentary/part biopic Fulci for Fake to Blu-ray in North America!
The film tells Italian maestro Lucio Fulci's story with never before seen footage, photos and interviews.
Fulci for Fake centers on an actor (played by Nicola Nocella) who is cast as Fulci in a film about the director’s life, and sets out to research the role by meeting up with people who have known and studied him.
The film is written and directed by Simone Scafidi.
Among those seen and heard in the movie are Fabio Frizzi, Michele Romagnoli, Sandro Bitetto, Enrico Vanzina, Sergio Salvati, Michele Soavi, Paolo Malco, Berenice Sparano and Davide Pulici, with actress Martina Troni.
Severin says pre-orders for the Blu-ray will begin on June 26th, 2020. Fulci for Fake is the third title revealed for Severin's massive Mid-Year Sale, which also includes Fulci's Aenigma on Blu-ray.
