Becky Kevin James Lulu Wilson June Release

An official selection at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, Quiver Distribution and Redbox Entertainment have acquired the North American rights to the action-thriller, Becky, and have set a Digital and On Demand release for June 5th, 2020.

Becky stars Lulu Wilson (Annabelle: Creation), Kevin James (Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Hitch, "The Kings of Queens") in his first dark/villainous role, Amanda Brugel (Hulu’s "The Handmaid’s Tale"), Robert Maillet (Sherlock Holmes) and Joel McHale ("Community").

In the film, spunky and rebellious Becky (Wilson) is brought to a weekend getaway at a lake house by her father Jeff (McHale) in an effort to try to reconnect. The trip immediately takes a turn for the worse when a group of convicts on the run, led by the merciless Dominick (James), suddenly invade the lake house.

"Kevin James is known for his amazing collection of stand-up and comedic roles from films such as Paul Blart: Mall Cop and his TV series ‘The King of Queens," said Quiver Co-President Berry Meyerowitz. "In Becky, Kevin delivers a chilling performance in his first villainous role, especially playing against rising star Lulu Wilson in an epic head-to-head battle."

Becky was written by Nick Morris (The Evil Eye), Ruckus Skye and Lane Skye (The Devil to Pray, Rattle the Cage) and directed by Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott (Cooties, Bushwick).

The film is produced by Jordan Beckerman, Jordan Yale Levine, and Russ Posternak from Yale Productions and J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules from Boulderlight Pictures.
