From Michael Herz and Lloyd Kaufman's Troma Entertainment, and the director of My Bloody Banjo, the upcoming horror comedy Eating Miss Campbell is a dark-satirical-horror-comedy take on the teen-high school genre, made popular by movies like Heathers, Jawbreaker and Mean Girls. Along with nonsensical violence and tongue in cheek social commentary dealing with veganism, cannibalism, teenage suicide and school shootings.
Currently funding on Indiegogo, Eating Miss Campbell follows vegan-goth high school student Beth Conner, who falls into a taboo relationship with her new English teacher, Miss Campbell and soon develops a problematic taste for human flesh.
"Unable to commit suicide without the help of a loaded handgun, Beth finds herself destined to live inside a 90s cliché-laden horror film."
"When a patriarchal school board auctions the rights to live stream the inaugural 'All You Can Eat Massacre' contest (where the winner is awarded a loaded handgun) Beth finally finds a way to escape horror movies for good! Beth must find a way to win the contest, save her high school from a mass tragedy, blow her brains out and suppress her appetite from eating Miss Campbell."
A spiritual sequel to the 2015 film festival hit My Bloody Banjo, Eating Miss Campbell is directed by Liam Regan.
Eating Miss Campbell will bring back some of the main cast from My Bloody Banjo including, Vito Trigo (Return to Nuke ‘Em High Volume 1), James Hamer-Morton (Pandamonium), Dani Thompson (I Scream on the Beach!), Laurence R. Harvey (The Human Centipede II) and Lloyd Kaufman (The Toxic Avenger).
Lyndsey Craine (Book of Monsters), Charlie Bond (Powertool Cheerleaders vs the Boyband of the Screeching Dead), Emily Haigh (Jane Eyre), Michaela Longden (Book of Monsters), Annabella Rich (Acting) and Lala Barlow (Metro Sexual) also star.
"Filming began in early 2020 but due to the global pandemic, filming was delayed until Summer 2021. Unfortunately, restarting the production for a second time cost us the budget we had initially put aside for post production costs," Regan explains. "We need your support to raise post production funds (sound design, visual effects, colour correction) and complete the movie."
The Indiegogo campaign includes several unique perks such as the director’s cut of My Bloody Banjo which will be available on Blu-ray for the first time, and several unique perks which will be limited to the campaign.
