Premiering June 24th on Mystery Science Theater 3000 as a part of their "Supernatural Summer" programing, Thomas Smith’s critically acclaimed Demon Squad pits paranormal investigator Nick Moon against a wildly bizarre buffet of bad.
In the film, Nick Moon has more than just a hangover to contend with when he takes a case brought to him by the beautiful heiress, Lilah Fontaine. Moon and his psychic-in-training office manager, Daisy, and themselves navigating a hidden underworld of trolls, vampires, and other creatures of the night, as they quickly realize they’re on a hunt for much more than a priceless artifact – and that they’re not the only ones who want it.
Khristian Fulmer, Erin Lilley, Leah Johnson, Martin Ross Henne , Monica Ganoe and Eric Schmit star in the latest film from the award-winning filmmaker behind The Night Shift and Night of the Krampus.
Smith, who co-wrote with Erin Lilley, says "Being a lifelong fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000, as is most everyone involved with the making of Demon Squad, having our film featured on the show is surreal, but I welcome it."
Demon Squad is also available on Tubi, VOD platforms, and on DVD from Wild Eye Releasing.
Other "Supernatural Summer" vault picks and new episode premieres include Doctor Mordrid, Cave Dwellers, The Magic Sword, Quest of the Delta Knights, The Magic Voyage of Sinbad, Deathstalker & The Warriors from Hell and Merlin’s Shop of Mystical Wonders.
MST3K states, "Even if you've seen these episodes before, you’ll still want to check out the new Vault Picks versions. You'll find some new bonus content in each of them, including new introductions and a few "hidden" extras, so be sure to check them out soon... because they'll only be around until June ends, and then – like magic – they’re gone!"
