Straight out of the first-ever "BlumFest," Universal Pictures have shared a fresh look at Halloween Kills, writer/director David Gordon Green's follow-up to 2018's Halloween!
The new footage was revealed during today's virtual Halloween Kills panel with Green, actress Jamie Lee Curtis, franchise producer Malek Akkad, Miramax's Bill Block and Blumhouse's Jason Blum.
The video also offers our first clear look at Michael Myers in the sequel, his mask all melted and disfigured following his confrontation with Laurie Strode during the fiery conclusion of the previous film. Watch it below!
For Halloween Kills, Curtis will return has Laurie Strode, Judy Greer as Laurie's daughter, Karen, and Andi Matichak as Laurie's granddaughter, Allyson. Charles Cyphers will reprise the role of Sheriff Leigh Brackett. Kyle Richards also returns as Lindsey Wallace and Nancy Stephens as Nurse Marion Chambers, and Anthony Michael Hall will take on the role of Tommy Doyle in the new film.
Green co-wrote the screenplay Danny McBride and Scott Teems.
Halloween Kills is currently slated for an October 15th, 2021 theatrical release. Halloween Ends will close out the trilogy (quadrilogy if you include John Carpenter's classic original film) in 2022.
