Nightbreed star Craig Sheffer returns to the world of horror in Gregory Lamberson's (Johnny Gruesome, Slime City) Widow’s Point, based on the critically acclaimed supernatural novella by Richard and Billy Chizmar.
Deadline reports that 101 Films has acquired North American rights to the film and will release it on DVD and Digital on September 1st. Genre outfit Devilworks represented sales rights.
In Widow's Point, "Down on his luck author Thomas Livingston (Sheffer) spends a weekend locked inside a haunted lighthouse as a publicity stunt for a book he is writing about the murders, suicides, and disappearances which have occurred at the mysterious location over the course of a century. As he uncovers the lighthouse’s terrifying secrets, sinister forces drive him to the brink of madness and a confrontation with cosmic horror."
The DVD will include a commentary track with director Gregory Lamberson, deleted and extended scenes, and alternate takes, and a behind-the-scenes documentary by Billy Chizmar.
KateLynn E. Newberry (Homecoming Revenge), Dominic Luongo, Kaelin Lamberson, John Renna and Richard Satterwhite also star.
