A few weeks back, Rob Zombie announced that the classic sitcom character Zombo would be making an appearance in his upcoming The Munsters film, and he's revealed this week that Zombo will be getting his very own action figure from NECA!
Zombie wrote on his Instagram page, "Feast your eyes on the official Zombo action figure! This exclusive figure will be available only at the NECA booth at the San Diego Comic Con 7/20-7/24! This truly wicked Crumble Creature Crackers box is only available for limited time at the @necaofficial booth! When they are gone, they are gonzo! Get there early because these amazing figures are gonna go quick!"
You can preview the Zombo NECA figure below.
In the original "The Munsters" television series, Zombo was featured heavily in one popular episode, fittingly titled "Zombo," that originally aired in 1966. The episode follows Eddie (Butch Patrick) winning a television contest to meet his idol, the horror host Zombo. Herman grows jealous and attempts to win back his son's attention by adapting Zombo's personality traits - with disastrous results.
The Munsters stars Rob Zombie film regulars Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster and Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa.
Plot details for The Munsters movie are currently unknown, though the original series depicted the home life and misadventures of a family of benign monsters living in an American suburb, who never quite understand why people react to them so strangely.
