Following this morning's leak, Scream Factory has officially announced and detailed their massive 16-disc Friday the 13th Complete Collection, which will collect all twelve films in a gore-geous Blu-ray set on October 13th, 2020!
Created in collaboration with Paramount and New Line Cinema, Scream Factory is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the original 1980 classic in a big way with what they describe as "the most definitive release ever of this iconic franchise."
The Region A release will come housed in new collectible rigid slipcover case and will be packed with hours and hours of new and existing special features, in addition to new 4K film transfers for Parts 1-4 (including Part 3 in its original 3D presentation)!
The company explains, "Each film inside the slipcover packaging will receive a dedicated Blu-ray case featuring original theatrical artwork. (Similar to how we presented Halloween, The Omen, The Fly and Critters box sets.) Some films in the set will have reversible sleeves with alternative cover art, giving you the option to swap them around. New and existing extras from prior home entertainment releases are in progress and will be revealed in full on a later date."
