Scream Factory Brings 'Orca' to Blu-ray This June with an Audio Commentary Track

Over the years, Michael Anderson's 1977 Jaws clone Orca (also known as Orca: The Killer Whale) has received various Blu-ray releases from companies outside of the US, including Umbrella Entertainment and StudioCanal, but thanks to the folks at Scream Factory, that's about to change!

On June 30th, man and Killer Whale will clash in a fight to the death when the Dino De Laurentiis-produced Orca makes its Blu-ray debut here in the states.

In the film, a strong, determined fisherman by the name of Captain Nolan (Richard Harris) versus an equally determined killer whale. When the giant whale's pregnant mate is maimed and killed by Nolan, the whale seeks vengeance: smashing boats, attacking a seacoast village, and eventually luring his human adversaries to a final confrontation in the marine creature's own arctic turf.

Charlotte Rampling, Will Sampson, and Bo Derek (in her feature film debut) also star in this seafaring epic brimming with nail-biting suspense and spectacular special effects.

The release will feature audio commentary with author/film historian Lee Gambin and a theatrical trailer.
