On the road to their annual Black Friday sale, Severin Films have announced they'll be giving the 2011 horror anthology The Theatre Bizarre its first-ever authorized Blu-ray release!
"We'll be announcing new titles being made available during our Black Friday Sale every Monday and Wednesday between now and the big event," Severin wrote on social media. "First up is a deluxe special edition of our original anthology production The Theatre Bizarre, which has been a long time coming. Look for full specs shortly."
In the film, "Down a seedy city street in her neighborhood, young Enola Penny is obsessed with what appears to be a long abandoned theatre. One night, she sees that the front door is slightly ajar and impulsively decides to sneak inside. But there in the dark, decrepit auditorium, a show unlike any other unfolds before her eyes. Its host is an eerie human puppet named Peg Poett who will introduce Penny to six tales of the bizarre."
The Theatre Bizarre features segments by directors Douglas Buck, Buddy Giovinazzo, David Gregory, Karim Hussain, Jeremy Kasten, Tom Savini and Richard Stanley.
