Wild Eye Releasing has this week announced a September release for the werewolf shocker Animal Inside, originally titled Betsy, from director Shawn Burkett (Don't F*ck in the Woods).
Animal Inside will be unleashed on DVD and Digital on September 13th.
Burkett recently explained the reason behind the film's new title and distributor on Facebook: "Over the past year or so people have asked me "what happened to Betsy?" And to be transparent, the distro company we went with didn't hold up their end of the bargain. So, after a few months, we paid what was left of the costs and got the film back."
He added, "This film is very near and dear to me, and it killed me that it wasn't properly released the first go around. So we really felt it was best to re-title and give it a new chance!"
In the film, "After surviving a vicious assault in the city, Betsy moves to the country in hopes of starting over, but as she begins to recover, something begins clawing its way into the moonlight.
Kelci C. Magel, Erin R. Ryan, Justin Beahm and Marylee Osborne star in the neck-slashing creature feature.
