[Trailer] Shudder Docu-Series Explores Myths Behind "Cursed Films" In April

Over the years, myths and mysteries have surrounded alleged "cursed" films and franchises whose casts and crew have been struck by misfortune and tragedy. Some of these include The Exorcist, Poltergeist and The Omen and The Crow. All of those films and more will be profiled in Shudder’s upcoming five-part docuseries, titled "Cursed Films."

Written and directed by Jay Cheel, the trailer has been released this week ahead of the show’s SXSW premiere. More details along with a poster designed by Matt Ryan Tobin can be found below.

"From plane accidents and bombings during the making of The Omen, to the rumored use of real human skeletons on the set of Poltergeist, these stories are legendary amongst film fans and filmmakers alike. Twilight Zone: The Movie — Premieres April 16th

A horrific on-set accident during the production of Twilight Zone: The Movie leaves those involved in the making of the film cursed by the memory of the incident they witnessed.

The first two episodes (Poltergeist and The Omen) will have their world premiere at SXSW on March 13th with Jay Cheel in attendance.
