Once you see it, it’s too late.
Earlier this month, audiences were asked what makes them smile in a mysterious teaser for writer/director Parker Finn's new horror film Smile, which played ahead of Joseph Kosinski's Top Gun: Maverick and David Cronenberg's Crimes of the Future.
Paramount Pictures has now released the first official trailer for the film, which hits theaters just in time for the Halloween season, on September 30th.
In Smile, "After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter (Sosie Bacon) starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can’t explain. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality."
Jesse T Usher ("The Boys"), Kal Penn (Harold and Kumar films), Rob Morgan ("Stranger Things"), Kyle Gallner (Scream 2022), and Caitlin Stasey (All Cheerleaders Die) also star.
Smile is adapted from Finn's 2020 short horror film Laura Hasn't Slept. The film is a co-production between Paramount Players and Temple Hill Entertainment.
