Spring Breakers Become 'Shark Bait' In New Clip from Shark Horror Film [Video]

Releasing in a few short days, and just ahead of July's The Reef: Stalked, James Nunn's (Tower Block) Shark Bait looks to add even more shark attack horror to your summer, and today CryptTeaze has a brand new clip to share with our readers, thanks to Vertical Entertainment.

In the clip, a hungry shark gets an unexpected two-for-one spring breaker special. Check it out below along with the film's official trailer and poster art.

Shark Bait is coming to theaters, Digital and On Demand this Friday, May 13th.

In the film, a group of spring breakers are enjoying the trip of a lifetime on the sandy beaches of Mexico. As the sun rises after a night of partying, they steal a couple of jet skis and race out to sea. But bravado and bad decisions lead to a terrifying accident. Stranded miles from shore, the true horror begins when the group realizes they've drifted into shark-infested waters. With no way back and one friend badly bleeding, the group must quickly figure out how to survive the predator lurking in the waters below.

Nunn also served as second unit director on Johannes Roberts' 47 Meters Down and its sequel 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, so he's certainly got some experience when it comes to filming oceanic terrors. Here's to hoping it all translates nicely to this film!

Written by Nick Saltrese (A Prayer Before Dawn), Shark Bait stars Holly Earl, Jack Trueman, Catherine Amy Hannay, Malachi Pullar-Latchman, and Thomas Michael Flynn.

Andrew Prendergast and Chris Reed (Kaleidoscope) produced the film.
