Altitude, who holds the worldwide sales rights to the upcoming killer crocodile sequel Black Water: Abyss, is also venturing into shark-infested waters with Shark Bait, which has been described as Jaws meets Saw.
In the film, "When four backpackers embark on the experience of a lifetime off the Australian coast, cage diving with a Great White shark, they quickly realize their lives are in the hands of a far more dangerous predator."
Shark Bait is set to be directed by award-winning VFX talent Sean Lahiff, who will make his feature directorial debut with the film. Lahiff has lent his VFX skills to films like Gravity, Prometheus, Green Lantern, The Pack and The Hunger Games. He also edited films such as Cargo, Wolf Creek 2, The Darkness and some episodes of the "Wolf Creek" series.
The film was written by Willie Hynd.
