Stone Village Television Developing Mary Shelley's 'Frankenstein' as a Premium TV Series

We've learned today that yet another adaptation of Mary Shelley's timeless classic Frankenstein is in the works, as Deadline reports that Scott Steindorff and Dylan Russell’s Stone Village Television is partnering with international producer BlackBox Multimedia to adapt the tale as a premium TV series.

The reimagining is being written by Bradley McManus (Bodyguard of Lies).

Deadline notes the series will be set in Europe and "focuses on the behaviors and obsessions of a scientist exploring the fine thread between life and death — all set against the context of a year in which dependence on scientific breakthroughs has been paramount."

Stone Village’s past television credits include HBO limited series "Empire Falls."

You may also recall that another small screen adaptation of Shelley's Frankenstein story is reportedly being developed at CBS.
