Supernatural Horror 'The Haunting at Saint Joseph's' Now Crowdfunding on Indiegogo

Promising "a devilish twist and a uniquely diverse cast," Australian writer/director Jon Cohen has launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for his upcoming supernatural horror film The Haunting at Saint Joseph's.

In the film, an engaged Muslim doctor, her fiancé, and their friends go on a holiday at St. Joseph’s Guesthouse, unaware that it was the site of a sacrifice of an innocent centuries before. They soon come to believe that it’s haunted and causing them to go crazy, as their emotions and desires spiral out of control.

Cohen explains, "Supernatural films often have a social theme laced in while remaining entertaining. With this film, we have something no mainstream western supernatural film has, which is a Muslim leading lady, Lily. This makes our film something unique that appeals to a wider audience."

Shooting this September, the film has been described by WeScreenplay script editors as "a highly compelling supernatural thriller, with a devilish twist at the end, which completely changes the reader’s understanding of all that’s occurred earlier."

The Haunting at Saint Joseph's stars Christie Hayes, Tara Jay, Darren K. Hawkins, Erica Long, Eric Brecher, Audrey Hawkins and Tracey Okeby Lucan.

R. Zoe Judd (Devil's Grove) is executive producer and indie horror favorite Shawn Burkett (Don't Fuck in the Woods films, Stranded) is associate producer.
