'Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2' Coming to 4K Ultra HD in October from Vinegar Syndrome

Back in May, we told you that Vinegar Syndrome would be bringing Tobe Hooper’s 1986 sequel The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 to 4K Ultra HD sometime this year, and we've now been provided with a small update via the label's latest newsletter.

Vinegar Syndrome has revealed that the world UHD debut of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 will arrive this October alongside the first-ever Paul Naschy-starring 4K UHD release!

The company also teased a Blu-ray release for "a truly demented international slasher," along with one more never-on-Blu 80s gorefest, a horror-themed Peekarama double feature, and two horror releases from the Vinegar Syndrome Archive.

"November is also taking things to a new level, including our second Home Grown Horrors set along with the biggest pair of surprise titles we've had so far," Vinegar Syndrome adds.

Stay tuned for much more info on these releases in the next couple of months!

In other Vinegar Syndrome news, they will be launching their first annual VS SummerFest Sale, which will run from August 19th through 21st. Specifics on this sales event will follow, but the company states that it will be focused on their ongoing physical and digital preservation efforts, and will feature a select group of titles that are preserved in their film archive discounted to 50% SRP!
