Let him in.
Last night, in the Falls Count Anywhere main event of a genuinely great SummerSlam, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt knocked off “The Monster” Braun Strowman, earning his second WWE Universal Championship after two Sister Abigails onto the exposed ring canvas. After a months-long feud that began after WrestleMania, the horrific Wyatt has laid waste to his former protege, claiming the blue-strapped belt for his own.
Admittedly, the match felt a bit slow, and Strowman’s cutting of the top layer of canvas was comically inept after a while. Even the winning pair of Sister Abigails didn’t look great, considering the lack of bumping Strowman tends to do. Still, the title is back in the grasp of “The Fiend,” and all's right with the world.
Or is it? Following the madness, Roman Reigns returned to Spear the bejeezus out of “The Fiend,” before smashing a steel chair over the back of The Monster. Donning a shirt reading “Wreck Everyone and Leave,” After taking months off between becoming a father to a new set of twins, as well as the ongoing pandemic, The Big Dog made a shocking mark on the end of the show, raising the Universal Title belt over his head as the show faded to black.
