I believe it was the philosopher Robert Zombie of Geffen University who once said, “Blood on her skin, dripping with sin, do it again, living dead girl.” All Elite Wrestling’s “Living Dead Girl” Abadon has shocked the wrestling world, one twitch at a time. In her latest effort, a win against Kilynn King, her record has risen to 3-1, and this improvement has risen her stock in the women’s rankings.
Abadon now sits at the number 4 slot in the rankings, surpassing the “Roll Model” Dr. Britt Baker’s 4-4 record. Considering she has almost exclusively wrestled on the YouTube show Dark, and she isn’t involved in the Deadly Draw Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament, Abadon’s placement this early in her run is exciting. At least, it would be if the AEW women’s division was taken as seriously as, say, Impact’s Knockouts division or WWE’s women’s division.
That said, the closest thing to a horror-themed female character any of the competition has going for them is WWE SmackDown’s Nikki Cross, and she’s been relegated to “Alexa Bliss’ enthusiastic bestie,” so take that for what it is.
Anyone know what Su Yung or Rosemary is up to these days?
Below are the rankings for the AEW Women’s division, as of August 12, 2020.
