'The Lost Boys' and 'Poltergeist' Coming to 4K Ultra HD This September

According to HD Movie Source, the previously leaked The Lost Boys and Poltergeist 4K Ultra HD releases that'll be arriving in the UK this Halloween season are also coming to the US in September from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment!

The site reports that both releases have a tentative September 20th release date. Stay tuned for more as we learn it!

Joel Schumacher's vampire classic The Lost Boys, which celebrates its 35th anniversary this year, follows Sam (Corey Haim) and his older brother Michael (Jason Patric), two all-American teens with all-American interests. But after they move with their mother (Dianne Wiest) to peaceful Santa Carla, California, things mysteriously begin to change when they discover the area is a haven for vampires.

Corey Feldman, Jamison Newlander, Jami Gertz and Kiefer Sutherland also star in the 1987 classic that spawned two direct-to-video sequels.

And in Tobe Hooper's supernatural chiller Poltergeist, which just celebrated its 40th anniversary earlier this year, a suburban family's home is invaded by malevolent ghosts that abduct their daughter.

Written by Steven Spielberg, Poltergeist stars JoBeth Williams, Craig T. Nelson, Heather O'Rourke and Beatrice Straight.

The 1982 film was followed by two sequels, and spawned a 2015 remake.
