Leave it to The Merkins to not only give Leatherface a voice, but give him the power to spit bars as he salivates over his next victim. The best part? He’s not dining alone, as Hannibal Lecter and Pennywise, two of the flesh-eatingest antagonists in Nineties horror history come together to comprise The Feastie Boys, who do their best impressions of the rap-rock legends on their new track “What’s Fa Lunch?”
The send-up of the Beastie Boys’ classic “What Cha Want” sees the BB impersonators Grand Royale (MC Ain’t, Badrock, and Mike Double D) play the roles of the horror icons, laying down some picture-perfect raps that keep the integrity of the original metering and precision, while adding the cannibalistic twist that is as gross-out as it is glorious. Nate Vaill takes on the guise of Hannibal Lecter, Jesse Trillet plays Pennywise, and Leatherface is played by Paul Schultz.
Parodies are head-shakingly ridiculous at worst, and downright side-splitting at best. “What’s Fa Lunch?” is the latter, but best not to let anything spill out around The Feastie Boys, lest you answer their question unwittingly.
