Restro Films Entertainment has tapped genre heavyweights Tamara Glynn (Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, Terrifier 2), Devanny Pinn (Casey Anthony: An American Murder Mystery, The Dawn) and Tom Sizemore (Black Hawk Down, "Twin Peaks") to star in the newest chapter of their slasher franchise, Brain Hunter: New Breed, CryptTeaze learned today.
The first installment, The Brain Hunter, found success in the festival circuit before securing distribution earlier this year.
In the sequel, a new breed of Brain Hunter has emerged to hunt humans for their brains in New York City. FBI agent Maxine Richards teams up with a retired detective from Wisconsin James Slant who has come face to face and battled this creature before.
"This team has a unique vision and passion that is contagious!" says Pinn, "Brain Hunter: New Breed' combines all the classic horror elements we love, with a cast that I am really proud to be part of."
Written and directed by Robert Resto, the film also stars Clive Revill (Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back), Joseph D'Onofrio (Goodfellas), Tina Krause, George Lanzenby and Ann Robinson (War of the Worlds).
It is being produced by Resto, Steven Rears, Stephen Satterfield and Tammie Smith.
Filming is expected to begin in New York late 2020.
