[Trailer] A New Home Security System Destroys What It's Meant to Protect in 'Bad Impulse'

Gravitas Ventures has today debuted the trailer for director Michelle Danner's high-concept thriller Bad Impulse, which sees a new home security system becoming anything but secure for a seemingly nice and normal suburban family.

The film will be released in theaters and On Demand on December 18th.

In Bad Impulse, set in the aftermath of a traumatic event, Henry Sharpe, a suburban father and husband gets a cutting edge security system from a mysterious man only to find out that it slowly destroys that which he most wants to protect.

"Bad Impulse is a psychological horror thriller that tells the story of a family like any other family until a new high-tech security system causes them to be unable to suppress their deepest, darkest inhibitions," Danner told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this month. "These freeing yet troubling experiences force each family member to look into their own black mirror that causes them to live out their innermost fears and desires and ultimately sends their lives spiraling out of control."

The film stars Grant Bowler(Guns Akimbo, "True Blood"), Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas), Sonya Walger (For All Mankind, "Lost"), James Landry-Hebert (Once Upon A Time in Hollywood), Abbi Ford, Stephanie Cayo ("El Secretario"), Dan Lauria (The Spirit, "The Wonder Years") and Rebecca Black.

Jason Chase Tyrell (Ghost House) wrote the script.
