[Trailer] Adam Sandler and 'Little Nicky' Director Re-Team for Netflix's 'Hubie Halloween'

I'll be the first to admit that I have a soft spot for the works of Adam Sandler, from his days on "Saturday Night Live" and earlier films like Billy Madison and The Wedding Singer, to his more serious roles in films like Uncut Gems and Punch-Drunk Love.

With Steven Brill's Little Nicky being another personal Sandler favorite of mine, it was insanely exciting to learn that Brill and Sandler had re-teamed for Hubie Halloween, a horror-comedy of sorts that's set to premiere on Netflix this October.

"Hubie Dubois (Sandler) thanklessly spends every Halloween making sure the residents of his hometown, Salem, celebrate safely and play by the rules. But this year, an escaped criminal and a mysterious new neighbor have Hubie on high alert. When people start disappearing, it’s up to Hubie to convince the police (Kevin James, Kenan Thompson) and townsfolk that the monsters are real, and only he can stop them."

The film's all-star cast also includes Julie Bowen, Ray Liotta, Noah Schnapp, Steve Buscemi and Maya Rudolph.

Sandler wrote the script with Tim Herlihy.
