Powerman 5000 founder and frontman Spider One is following in the footsteps of his brother Rob Zombie by breaking into the movie business, and will be making his directorial with the horror anthology Allegoria, which was acquired by RLJE Films and Shudder back in April.
The film had its world premiere at Panic Fest earlier this summer and will be released on VOD, Digital and streaming on Shudder on August 2nd, 2022.
In Allegoria, a group of artist's lives become unwittingly entangled as their obsessions and insecurities manifest monsters, demons and death.
The OneFox Productions film stars Krsy Fox (Frank), Adam Busch ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer"), Bryce Johnson ("Pretty Little Liars") and Scout Taylor Compton (Rob Zombie's Halloween).
Allegoria is produced by former Dread Central Editor-in-Chief Steven Barton aka "Uncle Creepy," and is executive produced by Krsy Fox, who also edited and provided the soundtrack score, and Spider One.
Beyond Fest will present a special screening of the film on Friday, July 8th at 10:00 pm at the Los Feliz Theatre. A Q&A with Spider One and Fox will follow.
This summer will also see Powerman 5000 out on the road for the "Freaks On Parade Tour," which will be headlined by Rob Zombie, with Mudvayne and Static-X rounding out the lineup.
