[Trailer] 'In Search of Darkness: Part II' Continues the Celebration of All Things '80 Horror

The ultimate '80s horror retrospective just got bigger!

Last year's In Search of Darkness was one of our favorite films of the year and easily one of the greatest documentaries ever created. Featuring compelling critical takes, insider tales, and unheard anecdotes from the likes of John Carpenter, Heather Langenkamp, Tom Atkins, Barbara Crampton, Doug Bradley, and many others, the extraordinary documentary delivered a new perspective on the decade that gave rise to some of the horror genre’s greatest films and franchises.

So, you bet your ass we were excited to learn that a sequel was in the works earlier this year!

In Search of Darkness: Part II is a four-hour-plus sequel to the Rondo Hatton-nominated In Search of Darkness, adding 15 new interviewees and 40+ returning favorites for the biggest and most comprehensive '80s Horror documentary cast ever assembled.

The sequel will also cover the topics that an audience survey revealed what fans want, including films that were missed the first time round and more coverage of non-US '80s horror, including Italian and Japanese horror.

Today sees the release of an incredible mash-up trailer created by Nick Bosworth to celebrate the pre-order launch of the sequel, which runs from October 6th to 31st. Check it out below, along with some stunning poster artwork by Dave Merrell.

As with In Search of Darkness, your copy of Part II will come with highly collectible physical rewards, including 3 posters, an enamel pin, and with your name in the credits. More details will be revealed on the 6th, so be sure to sign up for updates today!

Oh, and there's still time to snag an early bird discount (%10) on producer credits. As a producer on In Search of Darkness: Part II, you'll see your name featured on IMDB for a documentary starring your horror idols, including the aforementioned talents, plus some absolutely huge names still to be announced that weren't in the first documentary.
