[Trailer] Korean Stuck-in-Isolation Zombie Film #Alive Traps Two Survivors in Their Apartments

Alive Korean Zombie Trailer

With films like One Cut of the Dead, The Dead Don't Die, Train to Busan and Blood Quantum, the seemingly immortal zombie subgenre has brought us some of the most memorable cinematic experiences in recent years.

And while we wait for Train to Busan: Peninsula, another South Korean zombie flick is on the way from director Cho Il-hyung, titled #Alive, and today we have the trailer to share with you!

In #Alive, "A city is infected by a mysterious virus, which causes the city to spiral out of control. Joon-Woo (Yoo Ah-In) and Yoo-Bin (Park Shin-Hye) struggle to survive in an isolated apartment complex from those infected with the virus. Everything including the internet, phone, and electricity has been disconnected around the apartment."

Cho Il-hyung co-wrote the film with Matt Naylor.

The trailer certainly gives of that Train to Busan-esque tension, with its fast-moving zombies and all, but we're also feeling major Attack the Block vibes here. With films like the aforementioned Train to Busan, Parasite, A Tale of Two Sisters, Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum, The Wailing, The Host, I Saw the Devil, Thirst and Bedeviled all released in the last two decades, Korean filmmakers continue to prove they're a force to be reckoned with when it comes to the horror genre. #Alive looks like yet another prime example.

Stay tuned for a release announcement!
