[Trailer] Neil Marshall's 'The Reckoning' Submits to the Devil This February

After being acquired by RLJE Films and Shudder late last year, the official trailer for The Reckoning, written and directed by Neil Marshall (The Descent, Dog Soldiers, Doomsday), has now made its way online!

The Reckoning will first be released in theaters, On Demand and Digital on February 5th, 2021, followed by a streaming premiere on Shudder later this year.

"The Reckoning follows Grace Haverstock (Charlotte Kirk), a young widow, haunted by the recent suicide of her husband Joseph (Joe Anderson), who is falsely accused of being a witch by her jealous Landlord, Squire Pendleton (Steven Waddington), after she rejects his unwanted advances."

"Grace must endure physical persecution at the hands of England’s most ruthless witch-hunter Judge Moorcroft (Sean Pertwee) and face her own inner demons as the Devil himself starts to work his way into her mind."

The film is executive produced by Jas Boparai and co-written by Marshall, Edward Evers-Swindell and Charlotte Kirk.

Last year, The Reckoning was the opening night film at Montreal’s Fantasia Film Festival, also the film’s world premiere. Fantasia commented that the film is a "vivid, compelling and confrontational film whose themes are frighteningly pertinent to today’s concerns," adding that "it will knock the wind out of you."
