The Living Dead Fredi Nwaka Trailer

Gravitas Ventures has picked up North American rights to supernatural horror-comedy The Living Dead (aka Are We Dead Yet) from UK-based genre film sales agent Devilworks ahead of the the virtual Cannes market, ScreenDaily reports today.

From writer-director Fredi Nwaka, the film follows five have a go criminals who are forced to take refuge from the police in an old haunted castle.

"A simple robbery descends into chaos, as the thieves end up in an old castle and discover an ancient curse protecting its treasure. Supernatural entities are actively trying to prevent them from finding the gold, or are they?"

Nwaka (Brotherhood, Dead Man Running) stars alongside Jessica-Jane Stafford (Black Site), Tim Faraday (Snatch, Legend, Killer Weekend), Fabrizio Santino (Captain America: The First Avenger), and Winston Ellis (The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean).

The film premiered at last year’s FrightFest in London.
