UFOs, Murder Hornets and Zombies Attack in 'Toxic Alien Zombie Babes from Outer Space'

Toxic Alien Zombie Babes from Outer Space Continues Production in Lock Down

With the supply of new movies dwindling and many big Hollywood film sets continuing to remain shut down due to the COVID-19 restrictions, one courageous little filmmaking team from Melbourne, Australia is forging full steam ahead on an inventive new production.

David Black and Gerardo Chierchia have been working hard on their brand new feature film Toxic Alien Zombie Babes from Outer Space, a tongue in cheek sci-fi/ horror that pays homage to past cult classics such as War of the Worlds, Plan 9 from Outer Space and Attack of the 50 Foot Woman.

Toxic Alien Zombie Babes is being filmed remotely, both in Melbourne and by crews around the world from Nigeria to New York, all according to Black’s script and under the direction of Chierchia. Rather than using Zoom to do the actual filming, as many quarantine-made films have done recently, Chierchia is using it to direct.

Black said, "There have been a few features made during lock down but most have been full of Zoom footage and self shot talking heads on the iphone. This one is different and will blow people away."

Black isn’t joking either. We’ve been treated to some first look images and some test footage (seen below), and it looks amazing! There’s everything from UFO battles and murder hornet attacks to zombie rampages. This certainly looks like a film that will deliver action and schlocky humour in abundance.

“We have been starting this project for weeks now," Chierchia added. "Here in Melbourne we are in lock down, so we have some time to devote to the production of the film. We have to organize everything virtually. I am a “Virtual Director” (does this profession exist?) And my chats, like David’s, are open to people from all over the world."

He continues, "We have already received part of the film from France, Spain, USA, Canada and Australia. I must say that they are all very good both in interpreting the characters and in filming the scenes. Plus I started with special effects. We have UFOs, military, civilians, battles, big insects that kill, giant zombies etc., all fighting each other."

Toxic Alien Zombie Babes from Outer Space is aiming to be available around November and promises to give everyone something to look forward to.

You can keep up to date on all the film's future developments over on its official Facebook page.
