Vinegar Syndrome has today revealed their lineup for the month of August, with four new genre offerings headed our way later this month, including the 4K Ultra HD debut of William Sachs' drive-in sensation The Incredible Melting Man!
The home video label's stunning new 4K restoration offers a fresh opportunity to enjoy all of Rick Baker's legendary oozing effects in all their slimy glory. The release also features an array of both fresh and archival interviews.
Then there's the world Blu-ray debut of Rick Rosenthal's (or, if you prefer, Alan Smithee) notorious slice of televised terror, The Bird's II: Land's End, including a fresh documentary covering the shocking history of this 90s cable oddity.
Next up is the Forgotten Gialli: Vol. 5 Blu-ray box set, which presents a trio of one-and-done gialli from prolific Italian genre filmmakers and includes new 4K restorations of: Romano Scavolini's stylish and sleazy A White Dress for Marialé (1972), Giampaolo Lomi and Eduardo Miraglia's ultra psychedelic Tropic of Cancer (1972) and Fernando Baldi's Agatha Christie influenced Nine Guests for a Crime (1977).
Lastly, Vinegar Syndrome is back into Mexican genre cinema with a double dose of revisionist westerns with Fernando Duran Rojas' dreamy and folk-horror infused Hot Snake (1974), paired with Rene Cardona's ultra violent Peckinpah tribute, Guns and Guts (1976).
Head on over to Vinegar Syndrome's website to pre-order and learn more about each release.
