Wax Trax! Records To Stream Documentary Film 'Industrial Accident' This Wednesday on Twitch

Few names are as resonant in the industrial music community as Wax Trax! Records. The label is synonymous with independent artists, specifically in the punk, new wave, and industrial communities. A Chicago landmark since its 1978 founding, the label operated by Jim Nash and Dannie Flesher is universally known, but criminally underappreciated.

For the first time ever, the label will be streaming the story of their early years via Twitch. This Wednesday, October 21st, Wax Trax! will be broadcasting their in-house documentary Industrial Accident: The Story of Wax Trax! Records, as part of their ongoing Wax Trax! Wednesdays series. Beginning at 7pm CST, DJ Larry Crandus will provide a pre-show DJ set, featuring songs from his original playlist, complete with footage of the iconic Lincoln Avenue storefront of the label.

The documentary, released in 2018, was directed by Julia Nash and written by Mark Skillicorn. It made the short list of several festivals during its initial release, even being nominated for a Grand Jury Prize at the Nashville Film Festival.

Stream the documentary on Wednesday, October 21st on the Wax Trax! Twitch channel.
