Wes Craven's 'Scream 2' Slashes into 4K Ultra HD This October

While it hasn't been officially announced, according to various Amazon listings, it appears Wes Craven's 1997 sequel Scream 2 will be coming to 4K Ultra HD as both a standard release and as a Limited Edition "25th Anniversary" Steelbook this Halloween season via Paramount Home Entertainment.

Releasing on on October 4th, both versions will come in the form of a 4K UHD/Blu-ray combo pack that also include a digital copy of the film. Special features and tech specs have not been revealed.

As we wait more more details, you can preview both the standard and Steelbook versions below.

In Scream 2, Sydney (Neve Campbell) and tabloid reporter Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) survived the events of the first Scream, but their nightmare isn't over.

"When two college students are murdered at a sneak preview of Stab, a movie based on the events from the first film, it's clear a copycat killer is on the loose. Sydney and Gail, as well as fellow survivors Deputy Dewey (David Arquette) and Randy (Jamie Kennedy) have to find out who is behind this new murder spree, before they all end up dead."

Once again written by Kevin Williamson, the sequel also stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, Laurie Metcalf, Jerry O'Connell, Elise Neal, Timothy Olyphant, Jada Pinkett and Liev Schreiber.
