"What We Do in the Shadows" Renewed for Third Season at FX

What We Do in the Shadows Renewed for Third Season

Set in the same world as the utterly hilarious vampire mockumentary of the same name, "What We Do in the Shadows" is easily one of the best shows on television, and we're excited to learn that it's been renewed by FX for a third season!

The renewal news comes from Deadline, who also reports that viewership has gone up for the second, which explains why FX was eager to renew the series before the second season even finished airing.

The site explains, "FX said that the second season, which is averaging 3.2M total viewers across linear and digital platforms, including FX on Hulu, through its first six episodes, was up 25% on season one."

"We’re incredibly happy that critics and audiences are all in on Shadows," Nick Grad, President, Original Programming, FX Entertainment said. "Week in and week out, the producers, writers and our amazing cast continue to make one of the funniest and best comedy series on TV."

The series stars Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillén and Mark Proksch. "What We Do in the Shadows" is executive produced by Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement, who also co-wrote, co-directed, and co-starred in the 2014 film.

Set in Staten Island, New York City, the series follows four vampires who have been roommates for hundreds and hundreds of years.

"What We Do in the Shadows" Season 2 wraps up on June 10th.
