Nearly a decade after its release, director Chris LaMartina and Jimmy George's wonderfully festive 2013 film WNUF Halloween Special is getting a sequel, and LaMartina has this week revealed the official title and poster for the highly-anticipated sequel!
Officially titled Out There Halloween Mega Tape, the sequel to WNUF Halloween Special will be screening at Midsummer Scream this Friday in Long Beach, CA, with a Baltimore premiere set for Saturday, August 20th at Flagship Cinemas Eastpoint.
For the uninitiated, the original WNUF Halloween Special is a low-budget love letter to local television and everyone’s favorite spooky holiday, presented as a faux 1987 TV broadcast complete with commercials.
While plot information is currently under wraps, we do know the sequel fast-forwards to the 90s for a "new nostalgic nightmare full of over-the-top October kitsch," and promises "a haunted house party filled with aliens, vamps, and phantom tramps."
The film's poster, created by Marc Schoenbach (Sadist Art Designs), was created to look like a retro ad for a film that was sold via mail order from the Trader Tony's Tape Dungeon catalog in the 1990s. Check it out below!
